COOKIES NOTICE

This notice explains cookie and browser-storage usage across the KulturCart web properties, including the marketplace and academy/legal domains.

1 Scope

This notice applies to:

• kulturcart.de (Marketplace)
• Buyer Academy
• Seller Academy
• Help Hub
• Legal Site

This document does not publish internal implementation or platform details.

2 Consent interfaces

Two consent interfaces are currently used:

2.1 Marketplace (kulturcart.de)

• Consent preference is stored in the klaro cookie.
• Service groups configured in the consent manager include strictly necessary and functional services.
• Payment-related services are classified as strictly necessary.

2.2 Academy and legal sites

• A site banner is shown on first visit.

• Preference is stored in kc_cookie_consent_v1 (localStorage, 12 months).

• Necessary only: stores only consent preference and keeps strictly necessary cookies.

• Accept all: allows optional categories if enabled in future releases.

3 Cookie and storage inventory (current baseline)

Baseline verified with live scan on 2026-02-13 for marketplace homepage/cart (logged-out and authenticated customer) and vendor-panel access (authenticated vendor), plus academy/legal runtime verification.

4 Optional services and categories

Optional categories may include functional, performance, and marketing services depending on active property configuration.

• Marketplace consent configuration currently includes optional functional integrations (for example social embeds/maps), controlled through the consent manager.
• Optional analytics/marketing services are only lawful where consent and legal basis requirements are satisfied.

5 Managing preferences

• Marketplace: use the cookie/privacy controls available in marketplace pages and browser settings.
• Academy/legal: use the cookie banner choices; clearing storage resets banner choice.
• You can clear cookies/localStorage from your browser settings at any time.

6 Governance and review

• Cookie inventory is reviewed periodically and after material releases.
• Logged-in, checkout, and payment flows may introduce additional strictly necessary cookies; these must be included in regular audits.
